"Project Sakinah: Stop Family Violence Now"

Family violence is a global issue that affects everyone.

Muslims recognize the need to inform ourselves and take action to address the issue in our community.

Project Sakinah is an effort to stimulate awareness and action in the Muslim community to WAKE UP to the reality of the harm being done to our families, to learn to SPEAK UP in order to break the silence that surrounds the issue, and to TEAM UP with others to work to change our condition.

Khutbas by Dr Mohammad Shafi

Dr. Mohammad Shafi has been giving khutbas in North America and the West Indies since the mid-1960s. People from all walks of life have vocalized their benefit and enjoyment from his Khutbas. Come and listen to his new Khutba for the week.

Journey into America

Two years after the 2006 tour in the Muslim world, Professor Akbar Ahmed and his team of young researchers embarked on a journey to explore the fabric of the Muslim community in the United States. Dar al Islam was a substantial sponsor of this project. The team produced a DVD, and a book is to follow.To read about the 'Journey into America' click here.
